Describe the company – What is “Women’s Inspire Network”?

Women’s Inspire Network is a global online network for Female Entrepreneurs and start ups. Samantha Kelly created the network as she felt isolated working from home building her Social media consultancy business. ‘I tried other networks and didn’t quite feel included and didn’t get value so because I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I created it myself!’

How are you different?

We are different because we focus on giving our members the skills they need to be online e.g. social media training, sales training, self care and wellbeing workshops and everything a business needs to trade online.

During the pandemic our members were already tech savvy and had real support in our private group to ask questions and implement new online strategies. In fact, our membership grew over 28% during the past year.

We are different also because with a Twitter following alone of 22k we actually reply to you if you message us!

Why will you do well?

I understand. I have a following on Twitter of over 62k and I got to where I am today by  supporting and highlighting others and sharing my knowledge. I know what it’s like to start a business. In face my purpose is to be the woman I needed to meet when I started my business ten years ago.

We do social media really really well and we feature our members strongly. We give our members PR opportunities and useful introductions especially as Samantha (AKA Tweetinggoddess) is the owner, she always makes sure the members feel included, and surprises and delights members often.

This is not just a business network, real friendships and collaborations and sales are happening every day. ‘This is not about me, this is about our members. Our members deserve opportunities and sometimes it could be a useful introduction or pr opportunity that can make all the difference.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

Seeing members confidence growing and their businesses successfully pivoting during the pandemic was a real win for us. As our members are extremely social media savvy they were already ahead of their competitors.

Our members have won awards and members now have access to a global market. We also have strategic alliances with other networks all over the world in Philadelphia, New York, Singapore, Scandinavia and Australia

Who are you trying to attract?

Our members are mostly aged 35 – 55 funny enough that’s the demographic on Twitter too. Most of our members started their businesses later in life just like Samantha did so she understands the challenges of perhaps caring for an older parent or children while running a business.

She also understands what tech issues can be there and she understands the loneliness of being a business owner going global.What makes us different is that we are online, and there have been times where our members have a baby on their lap during a webinar – the inclusivity of the network is very noticeable.

What tips would you give to others looking to build their business?

Surround yourself with good people just like you who ‘get’ your passion and why you do what you do.

Learn as much as you can, help others and support others and they will do the same for you.

Don’t take criticism from someone you would never go to for advice – Morgan freeman quote.

Tell us about your team?

My team are outsourced and are better at the social media platforms that I am not an expert in. Aine, Sharon, Esther, Val, Tara and Eimear all work in the background to help me make this the most inclusive and responsive Women’s network online. If you message us on social media – We respond!

What are your plans for the future?

To build the biggest, most engaged online global network for Women in the world.

Our conference is on October 13th so our plan will be that attendees will take away valuable tips they can implement on the day.

For example we have Anita Wong teaching us how to organize our discovery calls, Denise McGarry will be helping us increase our prices with confidence, Catherine Fulvio will be showing us how she went global with her mobile phone in her kitchen and Indiana Gregg who is the CEO of our Gold partner WEDO will be speaking about the future of work and monetizing in the gig economy with Wedo and much much more!
